JAMMU AND KASHMIR, SRINAGAR, PAMPORE 20-02-2016 20TH FEB TERRORIST ATTACK ON CPRF AND EDI CAMPUS GUNFIGHT LATEST NEWS UPDATES NAMES OF MARTYRED INDIAN ARMY SOLDIERS POSTED. On Saturday 20TH FEBRUARY 2016, the terrorists bombed and blasted a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy killing two jawans, and then for further damage and killing entered the EDI (Entrepreneurship Development Institute) campus. More than 100 trapped civilians were evacuated by the army and security forces (CPRF). After three days of heavy gun battle, at least three terrorists are still holed up in a government campus in Pampore on the outskirts of Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Two Army Captains and a jawan, two para-military personnel and a civilian have been killed. There is no clear information about the killing or capturing alive of any terrorist. As reported in NDTV and various news websites, the Army said on 22-02-2016 Monday (third day of the encounter) that all civilians have been evacuated and two buildings have been secured. The third building which is the final resort for the terrorists (said to be from Lashkar e taiba a pakistan based terrorist outfit) have no other way to go as said by army officials.
