the story of this film is about Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao (VMRR) who from a small goon rose to become a Congress politician in Vijayawada and was murdered in 1988 as he was involved in the alleged murder of CPI, secretary for Vijayawada Chalasani Venkata Rathnam (CVR) who belonged to the Kamma community and also wasthe leader of student unions, and worker unions of communists dominated Vijayawada. he supported both the Vangaveeti family of the Kapu community, and the Devineni family of the Kamma community.
Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga formed a separate student union United Independent Organization due to leadership issues and in a bid to get strong hold of Vijayawada transport business which was then dominated by Datti Kanaka Rao (a strong follower of CVR).
In the year 1972 CVR and Kanaka Rao were murdered allegedly by Mohana Ranga's supporters. this led to increased rivalry and killings of people on both sides (murder of Vangaveeti Radha Krishna Rao (elder brother of VMRR, 2 brothers of Devineni Murali, Devineni Chandrasekhar)
